Commemorative Pendleton Stole
Historically, blankets have been bestowed on Indigenous people to commemorate leadership and heroism. Pendleton blankets have been used for generations to signify qualities such as courage, strength, determination and bravery. In the spirit of this tradition, we honor student achievement by presenting graduates with a commemorative Pendleton stole. The stoles have the American Indian Convocation seal and the graduation year. Doctoral stoles are trimmed in black, master’s in gold and bachelor’s in maroon.
Graduating students are eligible to receive a commemorative Pendleton stole to be picked up at the Tempe campus - AISSS location if unable to pick-up during the scheduled GradImages appointment dates.
Please note: Students must RSVP to attend the virtual American Indian Convocation and submit all required materials in order to receive the Pendleton stole which will only be available for pick-up at the Tempe campus - AISSS location on the following dates -
- April 14: 8 a.m. - noon
- April 16 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
If a graduate is unable to pick up a stole, they will be mailed the the week of April 19th with the ability to track. If you have questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
