UNI 120: Academic Success

This course assists students in developing creative problem-solving strategies for success in their academic lives. Students learn ten mindsets and attributes that are necessary for building a strong creative problem-solving practice. They also explore personal and academic strengths and barriers that impact success as well as tackle common problem-solving roadblocks.

What you'll learn
To apply the creative problem-solving process to various personal, academic, and professional problems
Evaluate proposed solutions through the prototyping and iteration cycle
Build your skills within the 10 mindsets and attributes necessary for strong creative problem-solving
Select a problem and complete a semester project to answer the question, “How might we solve this problem?”

- Each class period covers 10 mindsets and attributes: Awareness, Empathy, Collaboration, Optimism, Creativity, Rebellion & Confidence, Prototyping, Risk Taking, Self Care, and Motivation
