Food Insecurity on College Campuses

Summary:

Students with food insecurity have lower GPA’s, are receiving food assistance, have a lower self-efficacy for cooking cost-effective nutritious meals and also have an increase in depression and anxiety. We propose providing more affordable meal plans by including that cost in tuition fees or students who have extra meal plan funds can donate that money to the students who are in need.
